Understanding Holes 6
Now let's consider what it feels like to be an Einstein or a Newton or a Da Vinci. Not just the psychological or emotional feelings. The actual "sine qua non" of what it feels like to be a creative genius.
So what is it like? To know, we have to consider what it feels like to go from "what is around a hole" into a hole itself. And back again. What is this like?
Turns out, it feels exactly the same as falling in love. In fact, when we fall in love, this is what makes it so powerful. We literally move from the experience of what we know, to what we never saw, back to what we know, and back again, over and over and over. Sometimes in the span of a few minutes or less.
So what does this look like on paper? It looks something what you see above. And how do we respond whenever this happens? We respond by saying things like, "Wow! I can't believe I never saw his before!" And this is true. We never had seen the thing we just suddenly noticed. Why? Because it lived in a hole. A visual hole.
