Do you try to predict how your weight will change? Do you base your predictions on how much you eat? In truth, most people have no idea how how bad a predictor food is. At least, on a day to day basis. Over long periods of time? Yes, there is a connection. But even here, were I to ask you to predict how your weight would change if you were to pig out at a wedding, you'd be surprised to find, many people in this situation lose weight. Why? Because it turns out, there is far more to weight loss and gain than the calories in food.
